At Eni, we are looking for a Security Section Head Coordinator within the Zubair Field Operating Division in Basra, Iraq. You will play a crucial role in creating and overseeing a customized Risk Management Plan for designated sites.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:
- Actively collaborate with Eni’s Security Manager Operations to identify and manage security risks effectively. This position will implement project-specific security measures that align with company policies and guidelines, ensuring a proactive approach to safety.
- Enhance site security management within the broader security management plan, by effectively managing security systems and fostering strong coordination with the security contractors’ representatives at each site. This collaborative process aims to create a secure environment for all operations.
- Support the definition of the Security Risk Management Plan for the site by consistently planning, implementing and reviewing key components. Focus on conducting security surveys, asset vulnerability assessments, security risk assessments and security inductions/orientations, as well as developing comprehensive emergency and evacuation plans. Additionally, ensure that the risk mitigation plan is aligned with the approved site budget to maximize effectiveness and resource allocation.
- Report to Eni’s Security Manager Operations and coordinate the security operations at the site level, ensuring compliance with Eni standards of service.
- Ensure operational support for aspects related to the Security Organization.
- Ensure the operational management of physical security measures and the protection of confidential information.
- Identify critical risks and any other information concerning operational responsibilities.
- Coordinate the guard services and personnel assigned to site protection.
- Promptly intervene alongside Eni’s Security Manager Operations when a dangerous situation threatens the safety of employees, contractors and third parties, as well as protect Eni’s assets and reputation; assist in emergency and contingency planning.
- Perform controls aimed at achieving security objectives, providing specialized support to Eni’s Security Manager Operations.
- Record, register and maintain appropriate security and emergency records as required by internal regulatory processes.
- Act in compliance with HSE applicable regulatory documents and processes.
Skills and experience required:
- Relevant experience in security management within the civil sector or a graduate military background, with at least two years in the Army, police, navy or similar services.
- Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
- Experience in security roles within complex organizations.
- Experience with technical security systems (CCTV, intrusion alarms, access management systems, etc.).
- Ability to develop, implement and sustain security procedures and guidelines.
- Proficiency in guard force management, budgeting, security risk assessment, and both physical and electronic security.
- Strong understanding of methodologies and techniques to identify potential dangers, quantify risks, and enhance security assessments.
- Good communication skills and experience working in an intercultural environment.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
