At Eni, we are looking for a Project Manager (Emergency Pipeline Repair System) within our Branch in Qatar. You will be responsible for leading and managing resources to review, optimize and implement Emergency Pipeline Repair System (EPRS) deliverables, including call-off contracts and equipment, across both current and future projects. A key focus will be conducting comprehensive gap analyses to identify improvement opportunities and drive enhancements in operational readiness. This includes evaluating and upgrading existing EPRS equipment, agreements and documentation to ensure alignment with best practices and to maintain a high standard of operational excellence.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).
Main responsibilities:
- Manage resources to review, optimize and implement Emergency Pipeline Repair System (EPRS) deliverables and equipment for current and future projects.
- Drive decision-making and alignment among EPRS stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery and handover of the EPRS system to the Operations Organization, maintaining the highest safety and quality standards within the approved budget and schedule.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of leaders and SMEs in conducting engineering, operational and quantitative risk assessments to deliver the EPRS project in compliance with company standards, contractual obligations and financial arrangements.
- Manage and, if necessary, develop guidelines, systems, standards and efficient processes and procedures to support the reliable and safe execution of the EPRS project.
- Review performance, financials, budgets, and activity reports to monitor and measure productivity, progress and activity levels. Serve as the focal point for presenting and reporting to stakeholders, sponsors and shareholders, as required.
- Plan and identify upcoming tasks and potential problem areas, implementing solutions as appropriate, including the efficient use of resources to meet project requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with contractors, clients, vendors and subcontractors, ensuring that new agreements and contracts are established for studies or material supply as required, and that these are managed and delivered on time and within agreed budgets.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EPRS processes, equipment and documentation, implementing best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure all EPRS activities comply with relevant regulations, standards and company policies. Proactively manage risks associated with the project, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
Skills and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering.
- Extensive experience across multiple project functions and assignments, such as project management, engineering, construction, and procurement, within the Oil & Gas industry, including significant leadership experience in project management on major Oil & Gas projects.
- Proven background working with Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors or service providers in the industry.
- Broad experience and demonstrated competence in managing all phases of project execution, including startup, handover and resolution of technical issues.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, cost control, project gating systems, execution plans, risk and change management, interface coordination, commissioning and handover procedures.
- Extensive understanding of engineering disciplines, international engineering standards, specifications, design principles and execution methodologies.
- Solid experience applying risk assessment approaches to support decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, cost control and change management.
- Proven experience in contract management, negotiation and contractor oversight.
- Experience working in large-scale operating organizations across functions such as Operations, Projects and Subsurface.
- Familiarity with working in integrated, cross-functional organizations.
