At Eni, we are looking for a Power Supervisor within the Zubair Field Operating Division (Zubair Mishrif Expansion) in Zubair, Iraq. You will ensure the availability, reliability and safe operation of electric power for the DGSN by supervising all activities within the Electric Substation, enabling safe work on field electric motors and equipment, while ensuring compliance with HSE and operational standards.

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure the correct and safe operation of all electrical equipment within the substation.
  • Monitor and control power distribution to maintain stability and efficiency.
  • Participate in the definition of the energy needs of the DGSN.
  • Ensure the rational use of the systems at their disposal.
  • Maintain updated records of operating parameters and event logs during the shift.
  • Prepare and manage the handover report for the B2B, ensuring all critical operational details and pending activities are documented.
  • Electrical isolation of machines before maintenance activities 
  • Monitor the maintenance work at electrical stations.
  • Ensure all operations inside the Electric Substation to allow safe work on electric motors and equipment.
  • Ensure on-site protection of electrical equipment has been performed in safe conditions before starting any activity.
  • Provide switching of the electrical network HVT, MT, LT.
  • Register operating parameters in the main register and all events during their shift.
  • Develop the monthly and annual energy balance.
  • Ensure cleanliness of SSE units.
  • Support hierarchy for major improvements in the reliability of systems and equipment.
  • Be perfectly aware of HSE rules applicable to their activities and monitor compliance.

Skills and experience required:

  • Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Extensive experience as Substation Supervisor in an oil and gas plant or refinery.
  • HSE compliant.
  • Knowledge of effective intervention methods on equipment.
  • Good management skills.
  • Fluent in English.
