At Eni, we are looking for a Subsea & Topside Control Engineer within Eni Muara Bakau B.V. in Indonesia. You will be responsible for preparing offshore structure reports and specifications, and for following up on engineering, construction and installation activities, to ensure that offshore structural design, specifications and execution meet project objectives, engineering requirements and industry best practices.

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:

  • Preparation of offshore structure reports and specifications.
  • Follow-up on engineering, construction and installation activities performed by the contractor, including but not limited to:
  • Ensuring the overall technical integrity of offshore structure design premises, design and marine structural behaviour.
  • Verifying offshore structure compliance with international standards, company guidelines and engineering best practices.
  • Providing technical support during offshore structure construction and installation.
  • Verifying offshore floating layout.
  • Supervising the contractor’s structural design.
  • Selecting and specifying structural materials.
  • Planning, reviewing and following up on structure construction, transportation and installation.
  • Estimating structure costs and schedules.
  • Attending HAZID, HAZOP and SIMOPS meetings.
  • Ensuring the performance, installability and operability of subsea systems.
  • Selecting the most technically and economically viable solutions for the subsea system architecture, ensuring overall technical integrity.

Skills and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven ability to manage professional personnel.
  • Prior experience as a Company Yard Representative for offshore structure construction or as a Company Field Engineer aboard construction/installation vessels; experience in fast-track projects is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of structural design for FPU brownfield modifications.
  • Strong understanding of structural design for offshore and subsea structures.
  • Proficiency in material selection and welding for offshore applications.
  • Sound knowledge of HSE principles and systems.
  • Good knowledge of offshore structural construction activities.
  • Familiarity with conventional offshore installations, including deepwater subsea systems.
  • Software proficiency:
    • SESAM DNV-GL (Genie, Presel, Wajac, Gensod, Splice, Sestra, Framework, Xtract) for offshore structural analysis (topside and subsea).
    • ANSYS Workbench for finite element analysis of non-conventional structural components and hull parts.
    • LS-DYNA and USFOS for non-linear analysis.
    • AutoCAD and Tekla for structural drawings and modelling.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
