At Eni, we are looking for a Senior Process Engineer within Agip Karachaganak B.V. in Aksai, Kazakhstan. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of process design and technical authority assurance in the Karachaganak field, investigating process engineering issues and proposing solutions, and designing changes and additions to the designated section of the field, providing high-quality, cost-effective designs and reports in a timely manner.

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide process engineering services, including investigations, surveys, feasibility studies, calculations, simulations, conceptual design, FEED and detailed design. Produce key drawings, such as fundamental engineering process drawings and P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams), data sheets and engineering reports.
  • Use KPO software to simulate process facilities and pipelines.
  • Perform sanity checks on process discipline deliverables before issuing.
  • Provide technical support to Project Engineers, Contracts and Procurement Departments and contractors during the engineering, construction and commissioning of new facilities and their integration with existing plants.
  • Offer technical support for projects developed by contract design companies and to equipment and materials suppliers.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary engineering teams to prepare scopes of work for projects developed by contract design companies.
  • Review and approve discipline deliverables produced by contract design companies and equipment and materials suppliers.
  • Complete assigned work on time to meet KPO schedules and report progress to the Lead Process Engineer.
  • Participate in risk assessments, hazard identification, hazard and operability studies and safety integrity level evaluations.
  • Perform peer and inter-discipline checks on work by engineers within and outside the Engineering and Technical Authority Department. Provide process engineering support to teams constructing and commissioning modified or new plants.
  • Ensure compliance of assigned process engineering work with design terms of reference, technical assignments, and applicable specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Ensure the selection of cost-effective designs and materials, considering operating costs and standardization of equipment.
  • Provide Technical Authority assurance in line with the Technical Authority Framework.
  • Perform other tasks as instructed by management, line manager or direct superior within the scope of competence.

Skills and experience required:

  • Higher education (university degree or higher) in a relevant specialty and significant experience as a Process Specialist or Engineer.
  • Knowledge of RoK and international codes, regulations and standards related to process and plant design.
  • Familiarity with the latest developments and best practices in process design.
  • Experience in process engineering for major onshore hydrocarbon plants.
  • Understanding of process safety for major onshore hydrocarbon plants.
  • Skills in design follow-on engineering and closeout.
  • Proficiency in process and hydraulic simulation.
  • Experience with onshore oil and gas upstream facilities.
  • Upper-intermediate knowledge of English.
  • Strong technical report writing abilities.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Computer literacy.
