Job Description
Oil, Gas & Chemical operations, sales and marketing and ensure to conform with Company’s quality systems procedures and processes. Develop business to ensure revenue and profitability with long term successful performance.
Responsibilities
- Develops plans for the Oil, Gas & Chemical division.
- Access current and future market demands
- Ensures compliance with SGS policies, procedures and code of integrity.
- Provide consulting services to local clients in the fields of OGC inspection and testing access their perception of our services and identify opportunities for further improvement.
- Prepares monthly reports and clients progress reports.
- Evaluate department operations to ensure renewal of strategies to client approach.
- Liaises and provides a good relation with clients.
- Handles administrative issues within the department.
- Through best use of appropriate resources, ensure the quality and performance of OIL, GAS & CHEMICAL operations in SGS.
- Control of other Oil, Gas & Chemicals staff including laboratory staff and sub-contractors
- Adopt, at all times, a safe behavior by exercising due regard for the health and safety of SGS employees in line with SGS policies and procedures.
- Comply, at all times, with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct to support business.
- Implement Quality management system.
- Ensure compliance with ISO requirements.
Qualifications
1 – Education
- Degree in Engineering, preferable Chemistry
- Fluent in Both English and Portuguese.
2 – Experience
- 5 years operational/management experience in business activities
- Experience in managerial position
- Quality (ISO) experience or qualification-preferably
- Chemical background/experience in laboratory services- preferably
- Knowledge or experience in inspection services- preferably
