The Location: Mexico City.

The practice covers the complete energy value chain and advises policy makers, investors and energy market leaders on the most relevant topics of the industry, including:

  • Oil & Gas Exploration, Production, and Infrastructure
  • Energy Transition Strategy and Policy
  • Emissions, Abatement Technologies and Cost Curves, and Net Zero Roadmaps
  • Carbon Capture and Sequestration
  • Global & Regional Gas Markets (Including LNG)

The S&P Global Energy Advisory Practice is growing rapidly and is looking for high caliber talent passionate about the transformation in the Energy Industry.

Details of the role: We are looking for an entry-level, Energy Consulting Analyst to join the Americas Energy Advisory Practice and work from our Mexico City office.

Our consultants are “Power Users” of S&P Global products, capable of conducting a wide range of energy industry workflows at the highest standards of rigor and speed. We are the only energy consultants who combine deep, industry and technical expertise, with top-tier strategy and investment banking experience.

Our Analysts and Consultants network and collaborate with various S&P Global subject matter experts around the world in the planning and delivery of consulting projects, as well as market development activities.

Successful candidates will prefer working with other people, and as part of a team, in an entrepreneurial office environment. Moreover, they should be comfortable tackling challenges that are complex and ill-defined. Furthermore, they must be capable of not only seeing the ‘big picture’ and communicating a compelling story, but also delving into its technical details to perform data analytics, synthesize information and develop the story.

What We’re Looking For: Candidates should demonstrate keen interest in, and familiarity with, the energy sector – (i.e., industry, banking, or consulting), ideally, with a large or leading organization. Successful candidates must also show technical proclivity through either their experience or education.

To be an ideal fit for the role, you should have:

  • A bachelor or master’s degree (or equivalent degree in economics, engineering, mathematics, computer science or energy studies) completed no later than May 2020
  • 2 years relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting

We’re now hiring for 2023 full-time roles. We’re looking for candidates with 2 years of experience.
