Your contributions, advice, analysis and recommendations on how the sector approaches the transition to Net Zero will be valuable. The nature of our work will challenge you to be comfortable working on multiple projects at the same time and being flexible to changing client requirements. We will support you every step of the way.
Depending on the projects you are working on, you may be involved in:
- Engaging with clients and other stakeholders to understand their business needs and identify, design and propose suitable solutions to overcome problems.
- Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess impact of policy, regulation, technological and customer change on power networks and energy markets
- Playing a key role in project management and delivery, managing clients and applying technical and business assessments to address client challenges
- Developing and designing energy policy and/or regulatory frameworks and mechanisms
- Translating the results of complex analysis into high-level messages which can be understood by senior decision makers
- Supporting the development of proposals and bids as well as actively winning work
YOUR TEAM
You will join the Energy Strategy Consulting team. We produce ideas, analysis, advice and recommendations to electricity network companies and other key players in the energy sector such as regulators, Government and local authorities. Our areas of expertise include energy policy development, regulation, techno-economic modelling and whole energy system planning. You will join a company where your skills and ideas will complement those of colleagues from other sectors such as water, transport and renewable energy. We take pride in developing our people and blending individuals with varying backgrounds and experience into Energy Strategy Consulting..
You will be integrated in a flexible structure, where you will be working with and learning from experts in multiple fields. We have offices all over the UK and we promote a hybrid working pattern.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Educated to degree level in Maths, Science, Engineering or Economics related subject
- Experience in advising power utilities on market and/or regulatory matters
- Experience in a technical modelling and analysis role within a commercial industry setting or an academic environment, with a focus on power market modelling and analysis
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to deliver client work efficiently to internally and externally driven deadlines
- Focus on quality, ensuring excellence of deliverables for both project reports and proposals
- Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills
