PERSON PROFILE

The individual will have consultancy skills in change management, preferably for a strategic or management consultancy and will ideally have a track record in the oil & gas, power, mining, chemical/pharma, and/or manufacturing sectors. Expertise will need to be demonstrated in assessing EHS performance, reviewing management system and compliance programmes, developing and delivering safety leadership & culture programmes, training programs, and facilitating alignment around corporate EHS strategies. We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate excellent business development and client relationship skills, and who has a proven track record in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies. The candidate will be passionate about sustainability and safety and have experience in developing world class management of change programme solutions.

ROLE

In this client-facing role, we require a leader to play a key role in growing our Operational Performance services. The selected candidate will be accountable for the following:

  • Develop and implement strategic business/action plans, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand ERM’s Safety Services team and client base. 
  • Serve as a key member of the ERM team to drive double-digit profitable growth across the Operational Performance service areas (audit and management system programmes, safety services, EHS training programmes, EHS/sustainability strategies and Product stewardship).
  • As a senior ‘seller/doer’, personally win project work annually. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients.
  • Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
  • Be client facing, with a proven track record of developing Key Client relationships to meet business development needs.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities and manage strategic EHS programmes for a variety of industrial clients with complex technical/regulatory issues.
  • Design and direct large programmes/projects and multi-person project teams. Achieve client’s expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Display experience in one or more of our core sectors – oil & gas; mining; chemical; power.
  • Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of practice team
  • Be passionate about EHS performance improvement and have experience with developing cutting edge (or ‘world class’) management of change programme
  • Develop a working understanding of ERM’s other consulting practice areas and actively support cross-selling these services to existing clients.
  • Coordinate with ERM offices in the Europe, US, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America regions. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree.
  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience in working for a strategic, management or safety consultancy, preferably focused in one of our core sectors (oil & gas, mining, chemical/pharma, power, and/or manufacturing).
  • Strong expertise around management of change programs for large organizations.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful business growth
  • Strong business development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients
  • Be passionate about EHS performance improvement
  • Have worked substantially with clients in industry (oil & gas, power, chemical and/or mining sector experience ideal).
  • Solid people leadership experience.
  • Fluency in English, Dutch and French.
