Overview
Herzog Energy, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Oil & Gas Facility Construction Superintendent across the Unites States to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
- Supervise and direct on-site construction activities for oil and gas facility projects.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve construction-related issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Manage labor, equipment, and material resources efficiently.
- Prepare and submit reports on project status, safety, and performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement among team members.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all project activities.
- Participate in meetings with project managers and senior leadership to provide updates and recommendations.
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog&rsquos Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction management within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing large-scale facility construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and other industry-related safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to work in remote locations and withstand challenging environmental conditions.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.
- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this role. This is a non-exhaustive overview of the physical requirements of this job.
- Perform light work, occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force.
- Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
- Occasionally ascend/descend step ladders and/or stairs.
- Regularly sit and stand for an extended period of time.
- Regularly kneel, bend, and squat.
- Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
- Able to work in conditions with loud noise work on/around heavy/moving machinery.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet).
